Abstract
This Regulation prescribes various issues all aimed to set the principles and rules for the safe, monitored and controlled use, import, marketing, production and packaging/labelling of fruit plant seeds.
This Regulation transposes the rules contained in the following documents: Council Directive 2008/90/EC of 29 September 2008 on the marketing of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants intended for fruit production, Commission Directive 2014/96/EU of 15 October 2014 on the conditions for labelling, sealing and packaging of reproductive planting material intended for fruit production; Commission Directive 2014/98/EU of 15 October 2014 on the implementation of the Council Directive 2008/90/EC.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
