Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the manner of packaging and labelling of planting material of ornamental plants, including the more detailed conditions regarding the production, trade, control, data collection, small producer rules, and other.
This Regulation does not apply to propagating material of ornamental plants if: for scientific purposes or tests; for the conservation of genetic diversity; selection of ornamental plants; intended for export; and intended for other/different purposes.
This text transposes the rules contained in the Commission Directive 98/56/EEC of 20 July 1998 on the marketing of propagating material of ornamental plants; Commission Directive 99/66/EEC of 28 June 1999 on establishing the requirements regarding the declaration or another document drawn up by the supplier in accordance with Directive 98/56/EEC of 20 July 1998; Commission Directive 99/68/EEC of 28 June 1999 on establishing additional provisions for lists of varieties of ornamental plants run by suppliers in accordance with Directive 98/56/EEC of 20 July 1998 and Commission Directive 93/49/EEC of 23 June 1993 on the conditions to be met by planting stock of ornamental plants in accordance with Council Directive 91/682/EEC.
The Annex (containing administrative forms) is an integral part of this Regulation.
