Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the correct manner and necessary procedure when taking samples for laboratory testing over the presence and quantity of nitrates in’/on lettuce or spinach, including the labelling/marking issues, handling of specimens, and specific sample/testing rules.
This text transposes the rules contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1882/2006 of 19 December 2006 laying down methods of sampling and analysis for the official control of the levels of nitrates in certain foodstuff.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
