This Regulation prescribes the manner of handling the sample, keeping records of samples, storage and submission of data on performed analyzes, all in relation to the plant health status.
The official sample is a certain quantity of plants, plant products, harmful organisms or other organisms, objects or substances, which may contain or can spread certain harmful organisms. These samples shall be taken by the competent phytosanitary inspector and/or authorized institutions.
Sample handling is defined in article 3; sample records are regulated in article 4; sample analysis is regulated in article 5. For issues on sample storage and destruction of the same after proper testing see article 6; and article 7 for rules on necessary reporting.
