Abstract
This Regulation lays down the detailed Monitoring programme for pesticide residues in and on food of plant and animal origin for the year 2013 and related to the territory of the Republic of Montenegro.
The monitoring priorities here defined are sampling of food of plant and animal origin, the number of samples and analysis of active substances, effective level of pesticide residues and many other.
The programme is conducted in order to assess the vulnerability of public health, and in accordance with the prescribed levels of pesticide residues determined by the quantity of pesticides, metals and metalloids and other toxic substances, chemotherapeutics, anabolics and other substances which can be found in food (also defined by the Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 February 2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin; and amending Council Directive 91/41).
This text transposes the rules contained in the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 788/2012 of 31 August 2012 concerning a coordinated multiannual control programme of the Union for 2013, 2014 and 2015 to ensure compliance with maximum residue levels of pesticides and to assess the consumer exposure to pesticide residues in and on food of plant and animal origin.
