Abstract
This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the national Law on maritime navigation safety, prescribes the manner for avoiding collisions at sea. These provisions shall apply to vessels of Montenegrin nationality regardless of the area of navigation and vessels in inland waters and territorial sea of Montenegro. In terms if this text, a ship is an vessel intended for navigation at sea for the purpose of transport of passengers or cargo, including technical vessel, fishing vessel, public or scientific-research vessel or ship, whose length is more than 12 meters (except warships and military vessels). A vessel engaged in fishing is any fishing vessel that fishes with nets, longlines, traps or other fishing tackle that limits its maneuverability. Article 23 sets detailed issue regarding fishing vessels. Chapter V prescribes issues on supplementary signals for fishing boats fishing near to each other. Conduction of fishing vessels and fishing boats is further regulated in article 43.
