Community Forestry: A Strategic Plan (2018-2020).

This Plan is intended to guide and strengthen the development of community forestry in Myanmar to maximize its value and benefits to all citizens. It describes the current status of community forestry in the country and analyses the environmental influences on community forestry. The vision, mission and values are laid down along with SWOT analysis. The Plan comprises of six strategic themes with the goal, objectives and strategies provided for each of the themes. The six strategic themes, which include 28 strategies, are: (1) Awareness and understanding of Community Forestry; (2) Scaling up Community Forestry; (3) Promoting Small-scale Forest Enterprise; (4) Strengthening Community Forestry National Working Group and CF Unit; (5) Progressing research and development; and (6) Enhancing policy and enabling environment. The implementation of the Plan and resource requirements are also included along with monitoring and review mechanism.
