Abstract
These Myanmar Investment Rules are formulated in accordance with the Myanmar Investment Law.
Chapter II provides for the investment activities required a permit, prohibited investment activities, restricted investment activities. The Myanmar Investment Commission may issue notifications of investment sectors to be promoted (Chapter III). Chapter IV deals with the submission of investment screening application and issuance of guidance. Chapter IX provides for the submission and assessment of land use application. The Rules further makes provisions for: responsibilities of investor, insurance, disputes of investors, administrative penalties, etc.
