The Water Tax and Embankment Tax Law, 2017 (No. 9 of 2017).

This Law is about the collection of taxes imposed on farmers for various water-related works (including flood protection) and water use for agricultural purposes. The Act also provides for establishment of Tax and Embankment Tax Assessment Groups at various levels of local government and appeals against decisions about taxes by such groups.
