Abstract
Approved as an annex to State Great Khural Resolution No. 24 of 2020, Mongolia’s Government Action Programme for 2020–2024 sets priorities for the government formed after the 2020 parliamentary election. It aligns with the national security concept and Vision 2050 and organizes actions into six policy areas: COVID-19 recovery, human development, the economy, governance, green development, and capital-city, regional and local development.
The Program sets out sectoral measures and priorities across public health, social protection, education, science and innovation, finance and macroeconomic stability, mining and heavy industry, agriculture and food security, tourism, energy, transport and logistics, urban and regional development, governance reform, public safety, defense and green development. Economic and social measures include fiscal, banking and social insurance reforms, targeted business support, export promotion, rural development and agricultural productivity programs, and investment in strategic infrastructure such as power plants, mines, transport corridors and urban housing.
