Joint Order No. A/406/226 of the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Finance validating the Procedure for determining the amount of pollutants in waste water based on the volume of waste water and the concentration of pollutants.

The purpose of this Procedure is to regulate relations regarding determination of the amount of pollutants in waste water used in production and services. Water polluter shall employ a water use manager responsible for water use and performing internal control, who establishes a sampling point for each effluent discharge. Water polluter connected to a centralized sewerage system shall establish a wastewater sampling point at the outlet of his line. Water polluter shall take at least two samples of mixed waste water every quarter and conduct environmental analysis at his own expense. Water pollutant shall have manual or automatic equipment to take mixed samples from the effluent waste water discharge point within 24 hours at 2-hour intervals. Water polluter shall provide the authorized officials with necessary documents and relevant activities for inspection and sampling of equipment operation and pollution sources. The volume of waste water removed by the water polluter in a given season is determined by the readings of the measuring devices installed on the sewage line.
