Abstract
The scope of this Law shall be to regulate relations pertaining to the transport of passengers, freight and floating craft, and also the use of water transport equipment. Waterway shall be intended natural or artificial waterbodies destined with luminescent and other signs and symbols destined for safe navigation of floating crafts. Operation of floating crafts and navigation thereof shall be subject to mandatory licensing. Navigation of floating crafts and water traffic must be registered by the competent authority. Rules for safe transport of passengers and freight and preventing risks for human life and health, and risks for environment must be approved by the governmental agency in charge of water transport. This Law consists of VII Chapters divided into 19 Articles. Chapter I lays down general provisions. Chapter II establishes powers of state bodies in the field of water transport. Chapter III regards licensing and registration of floating crafts. Chapter IV regards provision of water transport services. Chapter V regards technical monitoring and insurance of public water transport means. Chapter VI regards control of water transport. Chapter VII contains miscellaneous provisions.
