Abstract
The Ministry obliges to carry out surveillance of resistant microorganisms in relation to human health in the future, actively submit and integrate information on the resistance of microorganisms on a national scale, conduct testing, exchange of information with other institutions and organizations concerned on the spread of infectious diseases with a view of intensifying efforts to reduce the release of antibiotics from public pharmacies and stopping the unjustified issuance of prescriptions. Competent authorities are required to monitor the use of antibiotics that are regularly prescribed via electronic prescription, and to take and implement measures such as improving education and the knowledge of herders and farmers regarding antimicrobial resistance of veterinary drugs. The scope of this national project is to prevent microbial resistance. In order to identify organisms resistant to drugs used for human and animal health, poison control, infection prevention, antimicrobial control, animal health resistance it is necessary to improve the knowledge and competence of sector personnel and promote the correct use of mass media in this field. Objectives for implementing microbial resistance surveillance shall be as follows: (a) creation of an association to ensure intersectoral cooperation; development and implementation of management mechanisms to prevent antimicrobial resistance; (b) improvement of the detection and monitoring of microbial resistance, integration of information on antimicrobial resistance at the national level, performance of cross-analysis, strengthening reporting capacity; and (c) monitoring of the use of antimicrobials, reducing their misuse and protecting health; controlling microbial resistance in healthcare and promoting responsible use of veterinary drugs through increased enforcement.
