Order No. 277 of the Minister of Road and Transport Development validating the Regulation on technical use of waterbodies and waterway vehicles.

The purpose of this Regulation is to regulate relations concerning the technical use of waterbodies and waterway vehicles used for transportation on lakes and rivers in the territory of Mongolia. The rules shall ensure the safety of navigation of waterway vehicles, to prevent pollution of the surrounding water environment, to protect the health and life of passengers, to protect the integrity of transported goods, property and objects, and to prevent technical breakdowns on waterbodies and waterway vehicles, determine the complex technical-organizational measures designed to avoid damages and accidents, in accordance with the requirements of international and national laws and regulations, and for its use according to the given technical-economic parameters. It shall be applicable to waterway vehicles flying the flag of Mongolia. Waterbodies and waterway vehicles shall be subject to technical inspection and diagnosis.
