Order No. А/282 of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry validating Animal Genealogy Assessment Registration Procedure.

This Order validates Animal Genealogy Assessment Registration Procedure with a view of increasing the productivity and quality of the whole herd by registering certified breeds and core herds of breeds and strains bred in Mongolia and the pedigrees of inseminators used for breeding, determining performance indicators, and identifying and confirming crossfertile and high-yielding animals for breeding. Livestock genealogy assessment register is a component of the National Livestock Registry and will provide management and organization within the framework of the structural unit of the central state administrative organization in charge of livestock genetic resources, enrich the common fund and manage it with professional methods. Access to the livestock genealogical evaluation registration system will be granted by the central state administrative organization in charge of livestock genetic resources. Animals that meet the following requirements shall be subjected to genealogical assessment and registered. It includes: (a) breeding animals that meet the requirements of the core herd that passed the examination category; (b) awarded as high-yielding livestock at sum, provincial, regional, and national quality livestock fairs of breeding animals; and (c) inseminators and inseminators of the core herd of certified breeds and strains.
