Order No. A/324 of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism validating the Procedure for creating, maintaining, using, storing and protecting genetic resources and traditional knowledge related to genetic resources.

This Procedure regulates relations regarding creation, management, use, storage, and protection of genetic resources and genetic resources-related traditional knowledge records and databases. The database will be created in electronic form, and the information will be in the form of digital data, sound, video, pictures, graphics, and writing, working in an electronic environment, and spatial data will be based on the geographic information system. Database software and technology are coordinated with the unified state policy of information, communication and technology. The database consists of the following databases: (a) database of genetic resources and traditional knowledge related to genetic resources; (b) electronic record of use of genetic resources and traditional knowledge related to genetic resources; and (c) digital database of gene pool. The database of genetic resources and traditional knowledge related to genetic resources contains information about genetic resources, traditional knowledge related to genetic resources, genetic resources of animals, plants, and microorganisms. The digital database of the gene pool includes the following information: (a) name, direction of activity, location, phone, e-mail, website address and contact information of the gene pool management organization; (b) digital data and electronic catalogs of various physical resources; (c) digital data and electronic catalogs of various physical resources; (d) digital data and electronic catalogs of various physical resources; (e) the unique number, source, and original of the sample stored in the physical fund number, name of science, condition of storage, name of researcher and date of supply to the fund; (f) the conditions for taking samples from the fund and receiving materials from the depositor, material transfer agreement.
