Abstract
The purpose of this Regulation is to regulate relations regarding the analysis and investigation of marine accidents and violations related to ships registered in the Mongolian ship registry in accordance with international agreements, conventions, laws, rules, and regulations. Maritime Administration shall be responsible for the analysis and investigation of maritime accidents and violations. The analysis and investigation of accidents and violations is aimed at determining the causes and conditions of accidents and violations and preventing the recurrence of accidents and violations. The Administration shall appoint an expert to analyze and investigate accidents and violations. In the process of analysis and investigation shall be taken into consideration port of accidents and violations related to ships registered in the Mongolian ship registry, the parties whose interests are affected, and the authorities of the relevant state in the case of accidents and violations, and provision of the relevant information. Individuals and legal entities who violate this regulation shall not be held liable under the Criminal Code. Liability shall be imposed as provided in the Law on Violations.
