Abstract
The aim of these Regulations is to prevent and reduce harmful effects of arsenic, cadmium, mercury, nickel and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons on human health and the environment. To this end, these provisions set out target values for the concentration of such substances in ambient air. Moreover, they establish common methods and criteria for assessing concentrations and deposits of the substances above-mentioned. Clear and comprehensible information on ambient air concentration must be made accessible and available to the public. Regulations 7 and 8 concern offences and related penalties.
