Abstract
These Regulations, which must be read in conjunction with the Conservation of Wild Birds (Framework for Allowing a Derogation to Carry out Scientific Research on Seven Finch Species) Regulations, set provisions concerning the research activities, through the use of ring recoveries, on non-resident, passage migrants species of birds.
The Regulations establish that specimens from the relevant species shall only be captured, by special research licence holders, by selective nets known as clap-nets in accordance with the Framework Regulations and the special research licence conditions.
They further set a research period for the year 2022 and a special research licence to be issued upon payment of a fee.
