Abstract
The present Regulations apply to the utilization of denomination of origin for wines and geographic indication for table wines. Denomination of origin for wines refers to the geographical name of a viticultural region, used to produce a quality and well known product, whose characteristics are related to the natural environment and human factors. Geographic indication for table wines, refers to the geographical name of a region used for a product derived from that particular region. The geographic indications have to include a viticultural area and should produce wines with typical characteristics.
