Abstract
These provisions lay down some amendments to the Fishing Vessels Regulations as regards applications for the registration and licensing of fishing vessels. It is stipulated that the owner, charterer and master of the local fishing vessel shall be resident in Malta in terms of the provisions of the Immovable Property (Acquisition by Non-Residents) Act. Furthermore, regulation 13 (establishing that fishing vessels over 24 metres in length registered after 1 January 2002 must comply with the Torremolinos Convention) is repealed.
