Fishing Vessels (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 (L.N. 191 of 2023).

These regulations, which shall be read and construed as one with the Fishing Vessels Regulations (the principal regulations) amend such principal regulations.
In particular, in regulation 2 some definitions are added or amended. Regulation 3 of the principal regulations, concerning the registration of fishing vessels, is amended and a new provisions, immediately after it, is added to provide exceptions to the previous provision.
Regulation 5 is also amended in several points and so is Regulation 7, concerning vessel registration and license fees.
Regulations 12, 16 and 18, which cover, respectively, the logbook obligations, the shipping vessels equipment and the marking of fishing vessels are substituted by new regulations.
Immediately after regulation 19 of the principal regulations is added a new regulation 19A concerning the Landing, weighing and labelling of fish.
Schedule I and Schedule IV to the principal regulations are deleted. In Schedule II the word "D", wherever it occurs in the first column of the table, is deleted.
