Abstract
These Regulations provide for the setting of requirements which energy using products must fulfill in order for them to be placed on the market or put into service. Such requirements aim at contributing to sustainable development by increasing energy efficiency and the level of protection of the environment, while at the same time increasing the security of the energy supply. Particular provisions concern the marking and declaration of conformity of the products covered by these Regulations.
