Abstract
These Regulations apply to emissions from all sources occurring in the territory of Malta. They establish limitations to emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants, pursuant to Directive (EU) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The aim is to achieve levels of air quality that do not give rise to significant negative impacts on and risks to human health and the environment. Rules on monitoring and reporting, as well as penalties in case in infringement, are also laid down.
