Abstract
By way of implementation of Directive 96/23/EEC, these Rules establish particular measures for monitoring certain substances and residues thereof (those listed in Schedule I) in live animals as well as animal products. The objective is to detect the presence of the residues and substances in live animals, their excrement and body fluids and in tissue, animal products, animal feed and drinking water. Particular provisions are laid down to coordinate inspections.
