Abstract
These regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Minimum Standards for the Protection of Pigs Regulations (the principal regulations).
This text amends Regulation 1 of the principal Regulations concerning the title of the text and the scope of the Regulations(to transpose Council Directive 2008/120/EC of 18 December 2008 laying down minimum standards for the protection of pigs).
Regulation 2 concerning the definitions is also amended. Regulation 6 of the principal regulations is substituted by a new regulation concerning the inspections which the competent authority carries out in order to ensure that the provisions of these regulations are being complied with.
