Plant Quarantine (National Certification Scheme) Regulations, 2005 (L.N. 138 of 2005).

The present Regulations lay down provisions in matter of certification in order to: (a) regulate the production, marketing and control of propagation material of vegetables, fruit trees, vines and ornamental plants; (b) improve the sanitary and the pomological qualities of propagation material of vegetables, fruit trees, vines, ornamental plants and other reproductive vegetative species. There shall be established a National Certification Service (reg. 3). Regulation 8 provides for the classification of propagation material into different categories.
