Abstract
The title of these regulations is the Protection of Public Health (Radioactive Substances in Water intended for Human Consumption) (Amendment) Regulations, 2022. They must be read as one with the Protection of Public Health (Radioactive Substances in Water intended for Human Consumption) Regulations (the principal regulations).
They amend Regulation 2 of the principal regulations concerning the definition of parametric value. They also amend Schedule II to the principal regulations concerning the minimum sampling and analysis frequency for the monitoring of water intended for human consumption. Schedule III to the principal regulations is reworded and a new proviso is added immediately after paragraph 1(b) concerning the screening levels for gross alpha activity or gross beta activity.
