Strategic Environmental Assessment (Amendment) Regulations, 2019 (L.N. 82 of 2019).

These provisions lay down some amendments and addenda to the Strategic Environmental Assessment Regulations, which specify the cases in which a strategic environmental assessment must be carried out of certain plans and programmes which are likely to have significant effects on the environment. It is stipulated that those Regulations shall have effect without prejudice to the provisions of the Protocol on Strategic Environmental Assessment to the Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (the Kiev Protocol), which forms part of the laws of Malta. New Schedule II is attached to the main Regulations. This new schedule contains the text of the Protocol.
