Abstract
This Act makes provision with respect to claims by occupiers of ownership of the immovable property by way of acquisitive prescription. The Act sets out the procedures for such acquisition, including, among other things, the transcription of deed of prescription Objections may be made against such acquisition. In such case, the occupier of an immovable property may apply to a Judge in Chambers for an order setting aside the objection. The Act also defines offences and make provisions for regulation-making powers of the Minister.
