Abstract
These Regulations, made by the Central Water Board, with the approval of the Minister, under section 49 of the Central Water Authority Act, concern limitation on the use and the waste of any water for domestic purpose, non-domestic purpose or from a watercourse, and specifically for: filling swimming pools, washing vehicles and a pavement, building or part of a building, and for watering a hedge, lawn or garden. The Regulations prescribe penalties in case of misconduct, and empower the Water Resources Monitoring Committee to determine the period of limitation of use of water. Specific limitations concern the irrigation of sugar cane.
