Co-operatives (Amendment) Act 2006 (No. 6 of 2006).

This Act amends the Co-operatives Act 2005 in provisions concerning the liability of cooperative societies, notices made in accordance with section 43 of the principal Act, auditors and internal controllers, the registration of societies that were existing before the coming into force of the principal Act and some matters of miscellaneous character. A new section (129A) is inserted. This section grants powers to the Registrar to lodge, for purposes of execution, a certified copy of awards or decisions made by the Registrar under sections 82, 84, 85, 100 or 103 of the Act with the clerk of the court of the district where the registered office of the society is situated.
