Abstract
These Regulations concern environmental health in the area of the District of Savanne. They impose obligations on occupiers of premises regarding sanitary conditions of premises and provide rules regarding (organic) waste disposal and collection. The Regulations, among other things, require owners or occupiers of waste land to keep such land clean and free from all undergrowth or noisome vegetation and waste. They also prohibit various forms of littering of public places (including any drain, reservoir, river, stream or watercourse) and provide with respect to duties of the public and the District Council in respect of waste management and disposal. Waste shall include, among other things, effluent and industrial waste. Hazardous waste and used oil will not be collected by the Council. The Occupier of any workplace where industrial waste is being produced shall keep or store the waste for disposal in a proper and efficient manner so as not to create a nuisance or to cause any risk, harm or injury to persons or animals or is likely to pollute the environment.
