Abstract
The purpose of these regulations is to amend the Environment Protection (Control of Single Use Plastic Products) Regulations 2020. Specifically, the document modifies articles 2 and 17 of the regulations and introduces the definition of “modified atmosphere packaging” meaning a preservation technique in which the composition of the atmosphere of a package of food is modified so that its composition is different from air.
