Guidelines for irrigation water quality (G.N. No. 617 of 1999).

Quality standards are adopted for water used for irrigation. These guidelines are based on guidelines of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). They are general in nature and should not be associated with any specific type of irrigation, cultivation or soil. The standards mainly concern components of water and set maximum limits.
