Abstract
These Regulations amend the Mauritius Cane Industry Authority (Registration of Person Making Contribution from Sale of Sugar on Local Market) Regulations 2012 in regulation 4(a) so to provide for an increase in contribution on sugar imported for sale on the local market. The main objective for levying the contribution is to raise revenue to meet the pension costs of the ex-dockers of the Bulk Sugar Terminal.
