Mauritius Hydrographic Services Act, no. 11 of 2026.

This Act establishes the Mauritius Hydrographic Services, responsible for national custody and safe keeping of hydrographic data, regulating hydrographic surveys, chart production within the maritime zones of Mauritius, and the hydrographic data exchange, access control and sharing. The Act specifies the following functions of the Mauritius Hydrographic Services: collection and compilation of hydrographic data; production, distribution and updating nautical publications, marine geospatial information and nautical charts in accordance with established standards; maintaining uniformity of nautical publications and nautical charts; ensuring that hydrographic surveys are carried out in accordance with established standards; coordinate hydrographic activities; authorising the conduct of hydrographic surveys in Mauritius and the production, publication, distribution and updating of any official nautical chart for use in the maritime zones of Mauritius.
