Mauritius Meteorological Services Act 2019 (No. 22 of 2019).

This Act makes provision for the establishment of the Mauritius Meteorological Services as a department within the Ministry responsible for the subject of meteorology and defines its objects, functions and powers. The Service shall be the official authority responsible for the monitoring the evolution of weather and climate, including extreme weather, throughout Mauritius. It shall, among other things, provide climate services for the sustainable socio-economic development of Mauritius. The Service shall be a successor to the existing Mauritius Meteorological Services.
