Abstract
This Act makes provision for the registration, survey and marking of Mauritius ships and related matters and regulates various matters relating to navigation of Mauritius ships including the carriage and disposal of dangerous goods. The Act imposes some requirements regarding equipment and manning of specified vessels including a “deep-sea fishing vessel” i.e. any vessel of 15 meters or more engaged in commercial fishing beyond near coastal limits.
