Merchant Shipping (Registration of Ships) Regulations 2009 (GN No. 105 of 2009).

These Regulations implement provisions of the Merchant Shipping Act, 2007 in relation with, among other things, the (application for) the registration of ships, marking of ships, mortgages, transfer of a ship and certification for purposes of a Convention to which Mauritius has acceded. The Regulations also specify international Conventions for purposes of the Act including Conventions relating to oil pollution, the preventing of collisions at sea and satellite tracking.
