Abstract
This Act makes provision with respect to measures for the development of small enterprises and handicraft enterprises and for this purposes establishes the Small Enterprises and Handicraft Development Authority. The Authority shall act as supporting and regulatory body for the sector and promote the marketing and sale of its products and services. It shall also advise the Minister on matters relating to small and handicraft enterprises. The Authority shall be managed by the Small Enterprises and Handicraft Development Authority Board. The Authority shall establish a General Fund. Any person who intends to carry on a small enterprise or a handicraft enterprise may apply for a registration certificate to be issued by the Board.
