Abstract
A special export duty shall be levied on all sugar exported from Mauritius (sect. 2). The proceeds shall be paid by the Accountant-General to the Sugar Reserve Fund Committee and shall form the the Sugar Industry Reserve Fund (sect. 3). The Committee shall be a body corporate and shall be responsible for the general administration of the Fund (sect. 4). The President of the Chamber of Agriculture shall be ex-officio Chairman of the Committee (sect. 5). The Fund shall subsidize and encourage investments in the sugar industry (sect. 8).
