Treaty Concerning the Joint Exercise of Sovereign Rights over the Continental Shelf in the Mascarene Plateau Region between the Government of the Republic of Mauritius and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles.

With this Agreement, the Government of the Seychelles and the Government of Mauritius, delimit a joint zone in which they shall jointly exercise sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring the continental shelf and exploiting its natural resources. The boundary line between points listed in this Agreement is a geodesic line. Nothing contained in this Treaty, and no act taking place whilst this Treaty is in force, shall be interpreted as prejudicing or affecting the legal position or rights of the Contracting Parties concerning any future delimitation of the continental shelf between them in the Mascarene Plateau Region.
