1st Amendment to the Water and Sewerage Act (Act No. 4 of 2022).

This Act amends the Water and Sewerage Act, No. 8 of 2020 (principal Act). The Act adds two sub-sections to section 8 of the principal Act. Section 11 of the principal Act relating to responsibilities of the water authority are amended. Section 27 of the principal Act is amended and requires renewable energy to be used for a water plant for a licence to be issued. Section 54 of the principal Act is amended relating to penalties for offences committed under the Act.
