2nd Amendment to Protected Areas Regulation (No. 2026/R-54).

This Regulation amends the Protected Areas Regulation (No. 2018/R-78). Section 4 relating to implementation of the Regulation is amended. Section 5 of the Regulation is amended and a new section 5-1 is added thereafter, which allows the Minister to change the boundaries of the protected areas. The amendment sets criteria for allowing the change in boundaries of a protected area, depending on the percentage of change suggested. Certain sub-sections of section 6 are repealed. Further, amendments are made to section 7 (Protected Areas List), section 9 (Assigning Management of Protected Area to another entity), section 12 (Preparation of Management Plan), section 13 (Establishing Fund for collection of revenues), section 15 (Revocation of Management rights), section 16 (Research activities), section 17 (Photography, Videography & Drone Usage), section 19 (Offences), section 20 (Penalties), and section 21 (Definitions).
