Abstract
This Act sets out the responsibilities, powers, mandate of the Anti-Corruption Commission and the qualifications and the ethical standards of the members of the “Anti-Corruption Commission” established under the Constitution of the Republic of the Maldives. The Commission is an independent legal entity with a separate seal, possessing power to sue and suit against and to make undertakings in its own capacity. The Commission shall consist of five members, and they shall be appointed by the President of the Republic. The members of the Commission shall fulfill several prerequisites, as listed in article 5.
