Abstract
The National Healthcare Waste Management Policy is a national policy with a sectoral approach. This policy lays down strategies for the safe management, procurement, generation, segregation, collection, storage, transport, treatment and disposal of all waste generated within the health sector to minimize the serious public health consequences and significant impacts on the environment in an environmentally and economically sustainable manner.
