Abstract
The Regulations prescribe licences for fishing in the sea outside and beyond 75 miles from the archipelago baselines (reg. 2). The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries shall determine annually the total weight of permitted catch. Fishing licences under these Regulations shall be issued by the Ministry of Trade and Industries (reg. 4). Only licences to fish with pole and line, long-line and trolling shall be permitted (reg. 5). Amounts of fishing fees are expressed in European Currency Unit and shall be payable to the Government (regs. 8 and 9). Licences shall be granted for a period of not more than one year (reg 10). Regulations 12 and 13 provide for boarding by officials and inspection. The remaining provisions of these Regulations deal with compulsory training, supply of statistical data by vessels, and contraventions. (18 regulations)
