Abstract
These Regulations, made under Sections 21(r), 22, 23(h) and 30 of the International Trade in Living Animals Act no. 13 of 2022, prescribe the rules to be followed in all matters relating to import, export, re-export and sea import permits issued for wildlife, or parts thereof, or products thereof, and to determine the fees for permits issued under the Act. The Regulations cover the following procedural matters: forms details; conditions of registration; special rules for captive wild animals, and wildlife kept in zoos, circuses, botanical and other exhibitions; procedure for applying for a permit, including a sea import permit; issuance, suspension and revocation of permits; fines in case of misconduct.
