Sea Cucumber Fishery Management Regulation (Regulation No. R-3/2025).

These Regulations are made under the powers conferred by the Fisheries Act of the Maldives (No. 14/2019). They provide for management of Sea Cucumber Fishery in Maldives. An advisory committee is established to advise the Ministry on implementation of the Sea Cucumber Fishery Management Plan. The Regulations lay down the requirements for licence for sea cucumber fishery, the activities that require a licence, the procedure for obtaining such licence and the conditions and term of licence. Further, the procedure for cleaning, processing and export of sea cucumbers are provided. The licenced fishing vessels are required to share the fish reports and logbook information with the Ministry. The offences and penalties for offences committed are laid down.
